Layer Thickness Radar

Revolutionize your Asphalt Analysis with the Ilmsens Measurement Cart

Get continuous, real-time asphalt layer data – non-destructively

Say goodbye to time-consuming core sampling and snapshot information. Our innovative measurement cart empowers you to analyze asphalt layers with unprecedented efficiency and accuracy.

Here's how it works

Our cutting-edge cart utilizes our innovative ground-penetrating radar to non-destructively penetrate the asphalt surface. As you push the cart along the road, it continuously gathers data on the
Layer Thickness to Precisely measure the thickness of each asphalt layer.

Capture and Preserve Your Data

The measurement cart seamlessly supports them in setting up a quality database, allowing you to:

  • Build a comprehensive pavement history: Track changes in asphalt conditions over time.
  • Share data with stakeholders: Easily collaborate with colleagues and clients.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis: Utilize the data for future research and planning.

Why choose the Ilmsens Measurement Cart?

  • Continuous Data Acquisition: Generate a comprehensive pavement profile without stopping.
  • Real-time Results: Analyze data on the go and make informed decisions instantly.
  • Non-Destructive Testing: Preserve pavement integrity and eliminate costly repairs.
  • Increased Efficiency: Save time and resources compared to traditional methods.
  • Improved Accuracy: Obtain highly accurate data for reliable analysis. (up to +-1mm over 3m of road)

Ideal for

  • Road construction and maintenance
  • Pavement quality assessment
  • Infrastructure management
  • Research and development

What kind of data do you get?

The data is made available to you in the form of a CSV file with the location and the measured layer thickness. This data can be displayed as a heat map, for example.

If you are interested, the radargram can also be output.

Layer thickness as a service

As an alternative to the direct purchase of a measuring system, we offer you the data.

We utilize cutting-edge technology to provide you with fast, accurate, and cost-effective insights into the condition of your roads. Our service eliminates the need for time-consuming core sampling, delivering precise layer thickness data without damaging the pavement. This allows for efficient identification of potential weaknesses, optimized maintenance planning, and improved quality control. Whether you're involved in road construction, maintenance, or infrastructure management, our non-destructive measurement service offers invaluable data for informed decision-making and cost savings.

On your behalf, we will come to your construction site, road section or asphalt surface with our measurement technology. We carry out the measurements and a few days later you will receive your data from us.
